Mission, Vision, & Values

Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life of our members.

Our vision is to be the leading model for collaboration and innovation in health care.

Organizational Values

We value:

  • Integrity:  The virtue that requires our adherence to moral and ethical principles, soundness of moral character.
  • Collaboration:  The principle that directs us to recognize the inherent worth of each person and to mine individual talent, skills and competencies to create value of our members, providers, and the Commonwealth.
  • Community:  The commitment to an environment that focuses on serving our community of associates, members, providers and citizens that values understanding, acceptance, and respect of individuals and their multicultural richness.
  • Stewardship:  The wise and responsible use of all resources; human, financial, and material, for the greater good.

Winning Ways Culture

It’s often been said that “culture eats strategy for dinner.” The best-laid plans, the wealthiest companies, and the most popular brands are often swallowed in failure because they don’t take the time to focus on and care for their own people. The culture we foster here at Passport has a direct correlation and influence on how our customers – members, providers, government officials, advocates, and the community – view us. That’s why we initiated a very important culture shift, now known as our “Winning Ways.” These founding principles are guidelines that we are expected to follow at every level of the organization – and meaningful tips which many of us find to be even more useful in our personal lives as well.
